As of July 2023, Lambton College has enabled a tool to allow users to reset their own Multi-Factor Authentication methods. In order to complete this, you will need:

  • Access to the personal email attached to your student or staff account

  • Your College ID (c0######)

  • An Internet connection separate from the College’s network

Follow these steps to reset your MFA:

  1. Go to mylambton.ca/resetmfa.

  2. Enter in your username and password.

    1. c0######@mylambton.ca for students

    2. c0######@lambtoncollege.ca for staff

  3. After a short time, your info should come up. Your personal email address should be able to be selected. Select it and click “Send Verification Code”.

  4. You should receive a verification code to your personal email address. Click “Verify”, then enter in the code that was emailed to your personal email address. Click “Verify” once again.

  5. You should be able to select which authentication options to remove. Select all of them, then click “Reset Selected Methods”.

  6. Select the checkbox and Confirm to reset your MFA methods.

  7. Your authentication methods should be reset! It may take 5-10 minutes for this to complete.

  8. Follow these steps to set up MFA again using Microsoft Authenticator: https://lambtoncollege.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/9/article/543522817?src=643177557
