Please be aware that Microsoft CoPilot is the only AI tool supported by Lambton College’s IT department. Using AI with sensitive data, like student work or proprietary college information, requires using Microsoft CoPilot while logged in with your college credentials.

If you are uncertain about securely accessing CoPilot to protect sensitive information, consult IT before proceeding. Using any other AI system with sensitive data violates college policy.

Exploring AI Together: A Flipped Discussion Series

Teaching Innovation & Learning Support Services is running a 4-part discussion series on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Once a month throughout the Winter 2025 semester were going to post on a different topic relate to AI. You’ll have the opportunity to go through the material we’ve posted at your own pace and then reflect and respond on Teams.

This month we’ve posted a podcast episode that provides an overview of AI and how it works, as well as some thoughts on AI literacy and encouraging students to see AI as a learning tool instead of a shortcut.

AI Learning Resources

GenAI Quickstart: Foundations for Faculty - this open educational resource produced by McGill University is a good place to start if you are new to generative AI. It consists of 10 short modules that cover the basics of generative AI and how it can be used in education and the workplace.
