ImagePrint Client Installation (PC)

Use this document to set up ImagePrint on your PC, enabling you to print wirelessly to the Photography Lab Epson printers and simultaneously utilize ImagePrint colour/print optimization.

 Instructions

  1. Visit https://www.colorbytesoftware.com/print-black.shtml and click the “Download for Windows” button.

  2. Run the file you downloaded

  3. Check the box to agree to the license agreement. You must agree to use the software. Then click “Install”

  4. Click “OK” to launch the IPSetup tool and configure the printers you’ll be using.

  5. Click “Add Printer” to add a printer. Disregard the “No dongle attached” message, you will not need a dongle or any license information.

  6. Click “Continue”

  7. Check the “I don’t have a license code, I want to run Demo Mode” box and click “Continue”.

  8. Select the “Black” radio button and click “Continue”.

  9. Select the model of printer you’re adding and click “Continue”. We have SureColor P800 and SureColor P900 models currently in use. The printers in the back of the lab are labelled with their model and name on the server for reference as needed.

  10. Enter the name of the printer. The name you enter must match the label on the printer exactly to ensure your jobs go to the correct device when you send them. Choose the “No (Remote Client computer) radio button. Click “Continue”.

     

  11. Select the “IP address:” radio button. Enter “10.0.13.29” for the IP address and click “Done”.

  12. Repeat Step 5 if you’d like to add more printers.

  13. Click “Launch” when done to run ImagePrint.

  14. To print:

    1. Export the image from your editing software.

    2. Open ImagePrint, then choose “File > Open” and open the image you exported.

    3. Make any necessary adjustments per your instructor’s directions.

    4. Select the printer you want to send the job to in the “PRINTER:” box on the right side of the application.

    5. You will need to select a paper profile. Work with your instructor for the appropriate media type.

      1. Note that this will need to be done for each different printer if you intend to use more than one.

    6. Download and apply the paper profile using the “MEDIA MANAGEMENT” box on the right side

      1. NOTE: You must select/download and apply a paper profile or your jobs will NOT print.

    7. Adjust any other settings per your instructor’s directions.

    8. Open the SpoolFace application

    9. In the “Computers” menu, ensure the print server (IP address you entered) is selected and not “Local Host”.

    10. Choose “Queue” and ensure the “Pause Printing Queue” box is de-selected.

    11. In the ImagePrint software, choose “File > Print”.
