The Resident Care Training Co-operative is a standardized training certification program that gives staff working in long-term care homes access to standardized orientation training and a way to verify completion of the training for their employers.
There are two stages to this process:
Registering for and completing the training
Creating an account in the RCTC Portal
This guide covers registering for and completing the RCTC training micro-credentials.
Links to instructions related to the RCTC Portal are provided at the end of this guide under Creating and Managing Your RCTC Portal Account.
\uD83D\uDCD8 Registering for Your RCTC Micro-credentials
RCTC training is assigned as a block of micro-credentials based on the LTC home you are working in and your staff role in that home. Be sure to confirm with your employer which training block you need to register for.
To register for your RCTC training micro-credentials:
Log in to mylambton.ca
Open the LTC Orientation Training Registration Form. (If you are denied access to the form, it means you are not logged into mylambton).
Complete and submit the form.
You will get access to your training micro-credentials in D2L within two business days after you have submitted the form.
Point of Care Micro-credentials
Two of the RCTC orientation training modules, LCTMR-0120 and LTCMR-0130, deal with the PointClickCare sortware system. Before you begin these micro-credentials, please review the instructions linked below to ensure you are able to complete them successfully.
